ABOUT ANGIE BASZLER

I’ve spent my career helping people move important work forward.

Across healthcare, education, community development, transportation, and executive leadership, the setting has changed—but the work has often been the same: bring clarity to complexity, connect the right people and ideas, and help turn something important into action.

THE WORK BEHIND THE WORK

Different roles. Different industries. The same instinct.‍ ‍

I started in fundraising and community development, working on major initiatives that required people with different priorities to come together around a shared vision. Over time, that expanded into strategic planning, organizational alignment, executive communication, cross-functional initiatives, and enterprise-level work alongside senior leaders.

What I eventually recognized was that the title mattered less than the pattern. I was often the person brought into work that was important, complicated, or stuck—the person asking questions, seeing connections, creating structure, helping people communicate more clearly, and staying close enough to the work to help move it forward.

That pattern is what became Norman Conrad.

THE STORY BEHIND NORMAN CONRAD

He noticed what mattered.
And trusted me with important work.

Some of my favorite childhood memories happened on my grandparents’ farm. Summers meant bottle-feeding baby calves, swimming in the cow tank, playing in the hayloft with my cousins and, if I was lucky, riding in the tractor with my grandpa, Norman Conrad.

He’d let me sit on his lap and help drive his big green tractor. I loved it. There was something about being trusted to help that made me feel capable and confident.‍ ‍

But there was another reason I loved those tractor rides.

Grandpa always carried a roll of Life Savers in his pocket. Whenever he offered me one, I‘d hope the next one would be red—my favorite. Eventually, he noticed. After that, when I’d come to the farm, he’d have a little baggie of red Life Savers he’d saved just for me.

It’s such a small thing, but I’ve remembered it my entire life. He noticed me. He remembered what mattered to me. And he made me feel seen, capable, and trusted.

That’s why I named this business Norman Conrad.

I want the people I work with to feel some of those same things—to see the strengths and possibilities you may not see in yourself or your organization yet, make sense of what’s complicated, have the conversations that matter, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

I’ve been told “you’re a lifesaver” more than a few times throughout my career. I love that compliment, but with Norman Conrad, that’s not really the goal.

I don’t want to be the hero of your story.
I want to help bring out the best in you.

I want your employees to trust you, your customers to count on you and the people you lead to be better because of you.

Maybe they’ll even call you a lifesaver.

READY TO MOVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT FORWARD?

Sometimes the best place to start
is a conversation.

Whether you’re navigating a complex initiative, thinking through a leadership challenge, or simply trying to figure out what comes next, I’d be glad to hear what’s on your mind.
